Mission Statement

American Indian Changing Spirits provides culturally relevant, residential recovery services for Native American and Indigenous individuals battling substance addiction. Through community-based support and traditional practices, we create an environment where healing happens.

*Participants enrolling via DMC funding must be eligible for active, continuous Medi-Cal coverage in Los Angeles County. Program staff are available to assist with enrollment.

Program Requirements

Persons must be 18 and over in need of substance use treatment
Persons not experiencing active withdrawals
Persons experiencing withdrawals or at risk of withdrawals can be referred for initial withdrawal management treatment with one of our many community partners
Persons with co-occurring conditions must be able to be treated in residential primary substance abuse disorder setting, including group treatment, and must be able to complete independent activities of daily living (ADL's)
Persons must not have a history of arson or sex offense charges, persons with other justice-involvement are accepted for screening
