On June 20, 2016. Jimi Castillo, Jeanette Castillo, and Kem Persaud were recognized by President Barack Obama, 44th President of the United States with the President’s Call to Service Lifetime Achievement Award for dedicated service to the Native American Community. It is the highest level of the President’s Volunteer Award administered by the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation and was established within the Corporation for National and Community Service through a 2003 executive order by President George W. Bush. The Award encourages citizens to live a life of service.
